"Please sir, may I
have some more?"

Dave Kelly, owner of the historic Hi-Rocky Gift & Sports Store in Buena Vista , started taking his Springer Spaniel, Toby, into the bank when he was just 10 weeks old. He said, “I never even hesitated. I knew they would all want to see my new puppy!” Toby got such a warm reception (and dog biscuits!) from the tellers and the rest of the staff that now he loves to tag along when Dave makes the short trip across the street to the bank once or twice a day.

Dave and his wife Laura have owned the store since 2001, when they purchased it from Dave’s parents Bryce and Suzy Kelly, long-time residents of Buena Vista and long-time customers of Collegiate Peaks Bank.

Dave appreciates the bank welcoming Toby, and he also likes the fact that, “You can walk into the bank president’s office and say hello. At big-city banks, you feel like you can’t even talk with the tellers. But Collegiate Peaks Bank is a hometown bank. My whole family has banked with them for as long as I can remember, and I expect to continue that tradition.”
